TAKE ACTION

This past Friday over 225 people convened at two locations at our monthly Purpose Driven Coffee event. Not only were there 225 people in attendance, there was a waiting list of over 50 people who wanted to attend.

Within 5 hours of the event on Friday, June's Purpose Driven Coffee event sold all but 30 tickets available (195 tickets in 5 hours!!!). How wild is that? It's possible we launch location #3 within the next 60 days.

A year and a half ago, I shared a vision with a friend of mine, Brian Ingram. What if we bring people together - once a month - for a conversation around purpose. And, within a few hours we had a website spun up, a registration link, and were working on the format of the event.

WE TOOK ACTION!

While we didn't know how many people would show up - if any - we knew that we were following our purpose. In the past 16 months we have witnessed first-hand that Purpose Elevates Community.

"Come, follow me" is a timeless leadership principle. Inviting people into a community. Into a space where they can learn. People they can trust. A place that feels right.

Purpose driven conversations, connections, and some caffeine.

When you take action on your purpose, GREAT things happen!

Life gets better. People join your cause. Maybe not the people you thought would join your cause. But, the right people will join your cause because you're living in your sweet spot. Being your "true person" as my 9 year old son Macallister calls it.

Now, it's not just about Purpose Driven Coffee. For me, community extends into everything I'm doing. And, purpose elevates it.

It's a community of people who are "my people" (in the humblest terms). And, when you're in community with your people you experience how purpose elevates EVERYTHING.

Humanity is our ultimate community, and everyone plays a crucial role. There can be no vulnerability without risk; there can be no community without vulnerability; there can be no peace, and ultimately no life, without community.

What does Purpose Elevates Community mean for you?

  • Identify Your Purpose: Take some time to reflect on what truly drives you and gives your life meaning. Whether it's through journaling, meditation, or discussions with trusted friends, clarify your purpose and what you want to contribute to the world. (Hint. Hint. Crafting your 100 Year Manifesto is a great place to start!)
  • Start Small, Act Fast: Like with Purpose Driven Coffee, don't wait for everything to be perfect before taking action. Start with a simple idea and take immediate steps to bring it to life. Every action counts. The smallest of steps are often the biggest of steps.
  • Build Community: Reach out to individuals who share your passion and vision. There is strength in numbers. Find the right people to share your vision with and build a community around your purpose .
  • Embrace Feedback and Adapt: With Purpose Driven Coffee, we continually are seeking to improve it every single month. Stay open to feedback and be willing to adapt your approach based on what you learn along the way. Don't be afraid to make changes as needed to better serve your community and fulfill your purpose.
  • Live Your Purpose Every Day: Let your purpose guide you in making choices that align with your values and aspirations. By living authentically, you'll attract others who resonate with your mission and contribute to the collective elevation of purpose-driven communities.
