Your Greatness Awaits

This week in the Philippines...

It was an absolute highlight of my life. To share my story. To share the story of my Mom. To share the story of the 100 Year Manifesto. And, to share access to thousands of leaders in the financial services industry - FREE - access to Create Your Own 100 Year Manifesto. It absolute blew me away.

Tears rolled down my face as I walked onstage.

Yes.

Really big tears.

It's not lost on me that just a few years ago, my car was repossessed and I was homeless for nearly a year. And to be on stage on the other side of the world, sharing the 100 Year Manifesto...I just kept thinking - what would my Mom think of all of this. I knew what she would think. She would be beaming. Crying. And saying, "I knew you could do it."

A lot of friends jokingly said to me, "It must be nice to fly across the world and speak." I responded with, "It took YEARS of huge sacrifices in my life to get to this point. I worked hard for this. On myself - when nobody was watching."

Being on stage - that's just the results of millions of small decisions. Millions of small actions.

Greatness is in the moment.

As incredible and as humbling as it was to be on stage, it didn't happen by luck. It wasn't by chance. It was earned through grit - through determination - through getting up every single day and doing my best. Day after day. Year after year. Even when I didn't feel like it. Especially when I didn't have the energy. Do it anyway.

Better today than I was yesterday; not as good as I'll be tomorrow.

Greatness is inside you. Stir those seeds of greatness.

I'm still in the Philippines for another day before flying back to the United States. It's 10 days without seeing my biggest inspiration in my life - my son. It's hard being away. It's a sacrifice. But, to be my "true person" as Macallister calls it, I need to live my own life too.
